Explorer doesn't list folders / files in alphanumeric order

When viewing the contents of a folder in Windows Explorer, the names are not
in alphanumeric order. I have tried clicking on the name field to sort
asending and desending order. it will reverse the order but not change the
sequence.

Try View, Arrange icons by, Name and see if that sorts it. Make sure Arrange
in Groups is unchecked, too.
