About the firewall

Now my image working with DHCP can connect to the internet, and our DHCP
server has no firewall.
But when we change the server with firewall, we can reach the web in the
LAN, but can not reach the web on the internet, just like www.google.com.

1. What can cause this problem?
2. What does the macro "Internet Connection Sharing/Personal Firewall" be
used for?
3. Does the server cause this problem? we can connect to the internet,just
like www.google.com on the normal Windows XP pro, but on the XPE can't.

Are there any other machines in your network that show the same symptoms?
