After reading a newsletter for CNET, internet link below..

I found it strange that an area of my Hard Drive was not being scanned by
anything!!
I scanned my computer in safe mode with (after all being updated) with AVG
(my Av program), Spy-bot, Ad-aware and Ewido (these have a function to scan
that area "ADS" ) and MS Defender. But nothing showed up. I repeated these
scans in normal mode but still nothing!!
So I downloaded ADS Spy from the link in the news letter!! I ran the scanner
and found one item in C:\Windows\System32:rcaa.dll (Note the colon between
32 and Rcaa)!!
I ran that scanner again but with the Calculate the MD5 checksums checked.
BINGO!!!!! My antivirus (AVG) detected TROJAN HORSE GENERIC.TUU
As the article stated, I tried with MS Explorer to find this but couldn't!!
My question (at long last) is will Defender be able to scan this area?

If anybody else read that article and downloads ADS Spy v1.11 check the
calculate MD% check sums!! Otherwise maybe you will have a virus but don't
know it!! But be WARNED also legit programs use this!!

This is just a note to say that the ADS Spy program (by Merijn) is also a
part of the latest version of HijackThis (v1.99.1), under Misc Tools.
