Ability to "pause" the scan

R

Ralph F.

Once the Antispyware scan begins, there is only
the "abort" option. Because everything really slows down
when running the scan; it would be nice to have
the "pause" option so you could control your computer and
not have to abort.

Hi

If you remove all temporarily junk it is no problem.

Use CCleaner, www.ccleaner.com

Don´t be surprised when you see all junk. Normal 500MB > 1GB

Nope ! I am not, every "thinking" Windows user can see
this "junkyard" !

How much junk can you see within your PC ?
I have my IE cache set to 1MB ! IE7 changed this to 20MB
Index.dat is still present.

Have you read this from Mr Thurrot ?

"My advice is simple: Boycott IE. It's a cancer on the Web that must be
stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant, which makes it
unworkable both for end users and Web content creators. Because of
their user bases, however, Web developers are hamstrung into developing
for IE at the expense of established standards that work well in all
other browsers. You can turn the tide by demanding more from Microsoft
and by using a better alternative Web browser. I recommend and use
Mozilla Firefox, but Apple Safari (Macintosh only) and Opera 8 are both
worth considering as well."

be stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant, which
makes it unworkable both for end users and Web content creators.
Because of their user bases, however, Web developers are hamstrung
into developing for IE at the expense of established standards that
work well in all other browsers. You can turn the tide by demanding
more from Microsoft and by using a better alternative Web browser. I
recommend and use Mozilla Firefox, but Apple Safari (Macintosh only)
and Opera 8 are both worth considering as well."

Ralph F. laid this down on his screen :
Once the Antispyware scan begins, there is only the "abort"
option. Because everything really slows down when running the
scan; it would be nice to have the "pause" option so you could
control your computer and not have to abort.

WGA shouldn't be a problem just as long as you own a legal copy of Windows.
NGSCB is for protecting company information and its also optional for a
company to enable the feature. Vista is really the Windows we have all been
wait for, that can't be bad.IE 7, its still beta, come to a conclusion at
beta 2. Acid Test, is not a test.

Hi

Yes but what news ? :')

Seen that MS fixed the WGA bypass and that Paul Thurrott
explains his strong reaction against IE7

"My beef with the Acid2 test is that Microsoft, alone among the browser
makers, has publicly shown no interest at all in passing the Acid2
test, which was designed to "help browser vendors make sure their
products correctly support features that Web designers would like to
use. These features are part of existing standards but haven't been
interoperably supported by major browsers." I commend the company for
seeking to fix the IE issues that Web developers say are most onerous.
I'd still like to see them do more, however."

Really easy !

Andre Da Costa [Extended64] formulated the question :
Thurrott had to apologize, he was really out of line with IE is a
cancer message. But he has the audacity to blame the majority of
users as being misunderstood, this guy is pathetic:

It's a cancer on the Web that
must be stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant,
which makes it unworkable both for end users and Web content
creators. Because of their user bases, however, Web developers are
hamstrung into developing for IE at the expense of established
standards that work well in all other browsers. You can turn the
tide by demanding more from Microsoft and by using a better
alternative Web browser. I recommend and use Mozilla Firefox, but
Apple Safari (Macintosh only) and Opera 8 are both worth
considering as well."

I have a feeling Plun is the developer behind ccleaner or he has
some share in the company. ;)

Hi

If you remove all temporarily junk it is no problem.

Use CCleaner, www.ccleaner.com

Don´t be surprised when you see all junk. Normal 500MB > 1GB

Ralph F. laid this down on his screen :
Once the Antispyware scan begins, there is only the "abort"
option. Because everything really slows down when running the
scan; it would be nice to have the "pause" option so you could
control your computer and not have to abort.
