A7N8X Deluxe version 1.x at 200 fsb?

Just curious,

Is there an issue with achieving 200 mhz fsb on an A7N8X Deluxe 1.x - prior
to 2.0?
Seems like I remember there being an issue at one time with this. If so, is
this fixed with a bios update or do you have to go with version 2.0 mb?

Thanks,

Asus A7N8X Deluxe revision 1.04 here, running at 202 FSB without problems.
Of course, memory is running sychronized with FSB to take full advantage of
memory bandwidth.

Specs:

Asus A7N8X Deluxe rev 1.04
Athlon XP 2400 @ 202 x 11
2 sticks of Corsair XMS3200

Thanks,

It seems to be more "hit & miss" with rev. 1.xx boards, even with PC3200
RAM. Mine is stable at 180FSB, although it has done 185FSB.

The problem with some boards (like mine and probably yours) is the
northbridge cooling. I can get only to about 185 with the stock cooling
but by adding a fan to blow on the northbridge I can get a bit over 200.
You can watch the error rate change while running memtest86 with and without
the fan.

Bios 1004 seems the best for attaining a high FSB on the Rev1.0 boards.

How far you can get is likely to vary, but you should be able to get at
least 190MHz.
