I had my step-dad visiting this weekend, so as a belated father's day present we decided to take him to Llangollen to ride the steam train to Carrog. All photos taken with my Nikon D3200 with the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens
Here's the steam train (there were two different services that day - steam and heritage rail car):
Inside (we had a carriage to ourselves):
Looking out the window:
Trying to figure out how to pronounce the station names...
The heritage rail car (headed in the other direction to us):
Carrog station:
What would a trip to Wales be without photos of sheep?!
Had a nice lunch at The Grouse Inn:
Some sheep making the most of the shade:
On our return trip we saw the steam train coming the other way:
Back at Llangollen:
Outside the station there was a cafe made from an old sleeper carriage...
And the award for random sight of the day goes to... (in a taxidermy shop)
