A Starting up Problem

Hey there,

I'm having a problem with my PC.
When I try to start it up it gets stuck when it is loading
Windows XP Proffesional (sp2). It gets stuck at the screen
with that nice staff in which those cubes go arround (blue cubes).
I've tried to start it up in safety mode and that worked.
Then I tried system recovery, that didn't work, then I tried some thing with
msconfig (checking the boot.ini, changing the start up mode, checking all the
services) but that didn't get my anywhere.
So what is wrong and what can I do about it?

Thanks in advance,
Dexter Drupsteen

If you can start up in safe mode, then look to see what 'new' devices or
application you recently installed which could be causing a problem.

In safe mode uninstall or remove it / them.

Reboot.

You may also have done ..too little or too much 'mucking around' and find
that the system still will not boot up properly.

If XP is corrupted to the point where none of the previous solutions get it
to boot, you can do a Repair Install that might work as well as keep the
current settings and not loose any personal files and data. Heree's a brief
overview of what to do.

Make sure you have your valid WindowsXP key
Insert and boot from your WindowsXP Installation CD
At the second R=Repair option, press the R key
This will start the repair
Eventually you will be prompted for your XP key
