Start up problems

Cami

When I start up my computer, All kinds of windows pop up including a "Window
Internet Explorer" window that tries to find a website "http://__adstart/".
The other windows are instant message windows that my kids use all the time.
If I click to get rid of them, they still appear in the right of my taskbar.
Apperently these are my start up programs & I have read how to get rid of
these by going to msconfig on the start/run.

I just went to the msconfig and unchecked the box "iexplore,
http://__adstart/". I then restarted my computer, and now I get a new box
telling me that I used my Configure settings to make a change on my computer,
that I am now in Diagnostic or Selective Start up mode, & wants me to start
windows normally using the Normal start up mode on the general tab to undo
changes that I made. There is also a box to check that says "Don't show this
message or Launch the system Configuration Utility when Windows start"

HELP!
