Hi,
I seem to have the same problem as peddy, just about to trouble shoot the pc
any help to solve this problem will be grately apriciated

First of all I am on XP PROFESSIONAL. I think my computer might be
infected by a virus so i tried to get to safe mode to run antivirus
software. After trying to get to safe mode many times and
unsuccessful, I read some articles that suggested the configuration in
msconfig within Windows. I went to boots.ini I think and choose -safe-
mode. After applying changes, I re-started the machine and ever since
I never get pass the screen with choices to pick

safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with dos

Start Windows normally

I chose every single option 1 at a time but it seems to always take me
to a 1 sec blue screen of death and re-start itself, then show me the
options above then go to the blue sceen again. I dont seem to be able
to pass this.

i've tried going back to previosly working setting right up to january this
year but doesnt sem to solve the problem.

i have a recovery disk from mesh computer which came with my pc, i dont want
to go that far if there is a way arround this as i will loose all my data
saved.

please help

The easily way to preserve your Data, would be to use Acronis True Image
10 Home's Bootable Rescue CD or the actual Installation CD that you purchase
that contains Acronis, or a similar type of program.
