As soon as i double click on the setup file..i get the error...
"A required update to windows update is available at the Windows Update
website. For a list of all requirements please visit blah blah blah.com"

What should i do ? I have tried everything

Go to Windows Update. Do an express scan, and apply all offered
updates--check the settings to be sure you haven't hidden any updates. You
don't need to apply any update which has a Eula stating that it is a beta.

I am having the same problem as Ankur. But I don't know how to "go to windows
update", and, I don't understand what "hidden updates" are. Lastly, what is a
Eula?

Start, all programs, Windows Update (or Microsoft Update, if you have that)

If this is missing on your system, you can start Internet Explorer, and
choose Tools, Windows Update.

With Windows Update open, look at the Options list on the left for "Restore
hidden updates"

If this is grey--you don't have any hidden.

Eula = "End User License Agreement." A few updates offered via Windows
Update require you to assent to a new license agreement--the Malicious
Software Removal tool is one, for example. The Windows Genuine Advantage
Notification tool has such an agreement, and that agreement states that the
tool is beta code, and should not be installed on production machinery (or
some similar language.) I personally have installed that update on my
systems, but if you have any qualms whatsoever about doing so, I recommend
not installing it--there's no need--it certainly isn't a prerequisite for
Windows Defender.
