"A network cable is unpluged".

I recently converted from dial up service to Rogers Hi-
Speed Internet. Eversince, I contineously receive the
subject message, that points to where the network
connectiom icon is on my task bar. Everything works fine,
but I sure would like to get rid of this anoying
message. Help!
 
I am guessing that you have more than one "LAN or High Speed Internet
Connection".

Control Panel, Network Connections, look under "LAN or High Speed Internet".
If there is one you are not using, right click and click disable.

If you are referring to the balloon message, double click
the network icon in the taskbar then click properties and
then uncheck the show icon in taskbar.....
 
Go into your network connections in the control panel and
delete your dial-up connection, now while you are in the
control panel open internet options and then the
connections tab and under dial up highlight your old
connection and click remove on the right. Have fun
