I really goofed and deleted the wrong volume and close out disk mgmt. I
have not done anything on the drive since then , is there still a chance to
recover the volume or data? Or that loss is final

Well if its only deleted you probably can reinstall after a restart, least you
didnt format the drive,after restart re-open diskmgmt.msc

If you have done nothing you should be able to recover the volume with
recovery software. If the data is important and you are not sure of what you
are doing you should consider taking it to a shop that specializes in data
recovery. If you want to give it a go your self Google for data recovery
software.

you could try this method of data recovery
http://www.ntfs.com/boot-disk.htm

I never tried it but I heard good things about it.

do report back if it works or doesn't work. If you use the trial and
it works

if the data is worth $100s to you then get a pro to do it , it will
prob cost $100s
