Hi

I recently had to reinstall Norton Utilities on XP SP2.

I have been using Norton for years - and have never
come across this problem.

Now deleted files get dumped into another folder
'within' the recycle bin.

This folder is named: S-1-5-21-1708537768-175567821-839522155-1004

I am unable to delete this folder (after Read Only unclicked).

To see any files now I have to open up Norton EuErase Wizard
I do this by clicking on this unwanted folder
(S-1-5-21-1708537768-175567821-839522155-1004)

I have another drive - I have each drive independent - both create this
folder.

Any ideas ?

Thanks - Stephen

Why did you have to reinstall Norton? Which Norton product do you have as in
Sysrtem works etc and which version?

Thanks Jim,

It is Norton Utilities 2002.

It has worked fine for the past 2.5 years.
It has also worked since SP2

The reason I had to reinstall was because
Speed Disk was playing up.

Speed Disk now works OK, but has left this strange
folder in R/bin.

I think I best reinstall - and see what happens.

Stephen
