817778 can't be slipstreamed?

Hello,

I am attempting to slipstream 817778, advanced networking
pack, into my XP CD, but I keep recieving errors.

The errors come in two kinds:
1 passing arguements from 817778 /? using / or - give an
error saying I should pass sysocmgr arguments.
EX: start /wait 817778.exe -u -z
or start /wait 817778.exe /u /z
yields error i:/<master_oc_inf> /u: ...

2 attempting to use 817778.exe /i:sysoc.inf /u:r
yields errors about needing to use the standard -unzq
stuff.

I suppose I should add, I am installing windows into a non
standard directory: wintst.

I have successfully slipstreamed several patches into my
xp cd, but 817778 I simply cannot do.

In my unattended.txt/winnt.sif file, all my components are
set to 'no' except wordpad, calculator, vol, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and happy
holiday's.

Scott

PS: replace dot com with dot nyet.

You will need to install this from the GUIRunOnce instead
of svcpack.inf

kb817778.exe /u /q

Ya,

I figured as much. Too bad, I would have been nice to just
load and go.

My xmas wish was a solution like:
817778.exe c:"install /q:r /n" /u /q

Guess I'll just have to get something else for xmas. But
it's strange that Msft would use guirunonce, since the
consider it a legacy process.

Thank you and happy holidazes,

Scott
