In following instructions in creating a XP-SP2 Slipstream CD given in
www.helpwithwindows.com , I created 2 Folders on my C: drive , namely
SP2 and XP-CD.
I d/l the SP2 file , "WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.EXE" , from the Web
and placed it into the SP2 Folder.
I then copied the contents of my XP Pro Upgrade CD to the Folder
XP-CD. This appeared as the sub-Folder "X1APCCP_EN(Z)" which contained
a few files and the following sub-Folders :-DOCS,DOTNETFX,1386,SUPPORT
& VALUEADD.
Next I entered the string :- "C:\SP2\WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU
/integrate:C:\XP-CD" (without quotes) into the RUN box and pressed
ENTER.
The integration started but stopped before completion with the error
(summarised version :-
"Failed to copy some or all files necessary....Please check that :-
a) No network or copy errors exist
b)Format of destination is OK
The files to be integrated must reside in an I386 folder and/or ia64
or nec98 directory ......"
Canyou tell me what the problem is here ?
Is it due to my use of a XP Upgrade CD ?
Was it correct to include the root Folder X1APCCP_EN(Z) when copying
the XP Upgrade CD?
