No !

You are doing it wrong !

Copy the i386 folder to the root of "C:" so the resultant folder will be; c:\i386

Assuming the 256MB admin. copy of S2 was renamed to; xpsp2.exe
Execute...

xpsp2.exe -u -s:c:\

The run Regedit.

Go to; HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

Make sure "SourcePath" is set to; c:\

Yes. P\But just rename it. The Service Pack EXE file doen't have to be placed in a folder
and onece the i386 folder is slip-streamed the EXE can be deleted.

Hi Larry: Please... It's Dave or David :)

That's the file you need to perform a slip-stream.

You had to download that ~260MB EXE file.

*Assuming* that file is RENAMED to; xpsp2.exe then that is the syntax.

The fully qualified name and path to the SP2 EXE file is up to you !

Assuming the SP2 EXE file is in the root, be explicit, not implicit...

c:\xpsp2.exe -u -s:c:\
