811493: Security Update (Windows XP)

I have installed the 811493: Security Update (Windows XP)
through the Windows Update program several times. Each
time the installation finishes with the statement the
update has been installed successfully. However next time
I run update, the update program tells me I need to
install it. It does not seem to "stick." Anyone else
having the same problem?

Once you have verified that Q811493 is properly installed,

The Windows Update history log file is called "iuhist.xml"
and it is located in C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4.
This is a hidden directory so please change your view
options to show hidden files and folders.

(Control Panel > Folder Options > View)

Look in the "iuhist.xml" file.
