Security Patch # 811493

First, I connect to the internet through a cable modem.
For the past several weeks I have been getting a notice
that ". . . Downloads are available", I did not pay too
much attention to it until I noticed that it was the same
download every time, namely No. 811493 Security Patch
(WindowsXP). The list of installed programs that
WindowsXP (SP2) Hot Patch Q811493 is installed.

The question is why is this same Seccurity Patch
reloading so much? There is no indication as to the size
of the patch.

I am still having problems with this. Every day a popup
appears that indicates that new programs are ready to
install. It is always Q811493 which is already installed.
I tried to uninstall Q811493, however, there is no
provision in the installed programs portion of WindowsXP
to remove this patch. What do I have to do? Reload
windows from the beginning.
