640 X 480 Resolution

My mother-in-law is partially blind, so she is using Win
98 in 640X480 resolution on a 21 inch monitor to have the
font as large as possible. We are now looking at buying
her a new computer, which will have XP on it, but the
lowest resolution it seems to support is 800X600, which
is a big disadvantage for her. Anyone know how I can get
XP to run with 640X480 resolution?

At startup, press F8 (if necessary, several times) and select VGA mode. The
resolution will probably look horrible to you or I, but she might just be
able to get away with it.
