Hey. I recently had a problem everytime I was shutting XP down. So I tried
to restore, but it wouldn't do it. I had to do the full Recovery and
re-install some programs. But before the Recovery I had 122 GB in the hard
drive, and now it says 118. But I have another problem now, and I restored to
yesterday, and now it says "117 GB" left. What the hell is wrong with XP?
Also everytime I start XP now, a little bubble pops up at the bottom right by
the clock and it says that the software for a hardware that is trying to be
installed is not verified by Microsoft Windows Logo. I dunno what the hell is
trying to be installed, but this didnt happen before the Recovery. Any help
is needed. Thanks

Anyone know anything about this? I'm down to 114 GB now. I've also
downloaded stuff but sometimes the PC will have a problem, I'll try to
"restore" but when that doesn't work I have to do the full recovery where it
uninstalls previously installed programs. I've lost about 3-5 GBs I believe.
Is this just the HP Media Center m370n PCs??

Windows XP creates a restore folder everytime you change something. I have
had this folder take up as much as 20 GB it is insane. It is on the C drive
under system volume information. Make sure you change the folder setting to
show all system files and hidden files otherwise it wont let you see it.
Also it does not allow any users to access this folder unless you share it
out and allow users to change files. You can cahnge this setting by right
clicking on the system volume information folder and going to sharing and
security. There you can allow users to modify files. Once you gain access
you can delete the old files if you are sure you wont need to restore back
to them. But that is where all your hardrive space is going. I am sure of
that.
