My sister reset my old Windows XP without my knowledge and now im trying to
find a way to recover the files that i had stored on that system. Is it

Yes, it may be possible. Sometimes heavily fragmented drives present a
problem and if the file has been over written, it is gone.

That depends on what she did. Please explain what you mean by the Word
"reset." Exactly *what* did she do?

If you think that the data was erased, STOP using the system now. Using it
decreases the possibility of recovery.

Remove the drive and attach it to another system, and recover data to that.
