I have been reading several News reports about next generation mobiles, which, as I understand it, will eventually be using the old "analogue" freequency (freed-up by TV switching to digital signals.) Example here.

The stories are basically claiming that TV signals are going to be "scrambled" unless filters are used, etc. Okay, but the question which comes to mind, is whether 4G mobiles will be easy for eavesdroppers to listen in on?

Doesn't it mean that older TVs, which are still capable of picking up analogue, would have the potential to pick up on folks' mobile conversations..?

Just wondering. :)
