4 PROCESSESS OF XP RUNNING

After about half hour of unattended use, XP somehow causes me to have 4
instances of xp running in the log on screen slowing up pc big time. Tried
googling and searching on here to no avail-can someone please help me with
this? Thanks Dave
 
"XP somehow causes" the problem? Or could your computer be infected with a
virus or spyware.
