3rd post for help on Battery Warning

I can't get the sounds to play when the battery gets to
the low or critical setting on my notebook. The warning
window works fine. I know the sound files are valid,
work elsewhere. Tried resetting the percentage for
warning, turning sounds and warning display on/off, but
cannot get any sound to play. All other functions of the
low/critical battery level work fine.

does sound for anything play when the battery level gets low?
if not, then maybe your sound system fails or turns itself off,
under low battery conditions.

did you check the settings in control panel>sounds>(read the list) ?

I checked all the settings twice. The sound does play,

but it is the default windows sound, not the wav file I
put in.
