3D character animation for Linux?

Hello and happy new year to all :)

I am looking for a program like MetaCreations' Poser for Linux. A few
months ago I visited a website saying that there is such a project
under development. Due to a dumb error of my own I have lost all my
bookmarks and can't find the site again.

I have googled the web up and down also newsgroups, sourceforge,
freshmeat, rpmseek and so on, but had no luck. As most linux programs
are GPLed and are available for free, I hope that someone on this list
may have a link for me.

TIA

MakeHuman is possibly the program you were looking at. It is an adjunct to
the famous Blender:

Blender is the first and only fully integrated 3D graphics creation suite
allowing modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, realtime
interactive 3D and game creation and playback with cross-platform
compatibility - all in one tidy, easily and free downloadable package! Full
list of features here:

http://www.blender3d.org/About/?sub=Features

and you can bring it for a test-drive from here:

http://www.blender3d.org/Download/

Make human is at:
http://projects.blender.org/projects/makeh/

You will also need Python 2.2.3 as well
http://www.python.org

Now.... that will sort the men from the boys!
Have fun....

Thank you, Trevor, this is definetly not what I searched for (even
without bookmarks I would have remembered that it was "around"
Blender) but it looks as good and will prevent a lot of problems being
a Blender "addon". This is a great hint, thanks.
