If you are using Windows XP Professional - you are using a 32-bit OS
If you are using Windows XP Home Edition - you are using a 32-bit OS
If you are using Windows XP 64-bit Edition Version 2003 - you are using a
64-bit OS.

How do I know if I have Windows XP 33-bit or 65-bit?
Take your computer outside. Place in on the ground and hit it with a
sledgehammer twenty times. Count the number of "bits" it breaks into;
that will tell you what "bit" version of XP you have.
