3 copies ow windows XP Home

Using Norton (GOBACK) I DELETED GO BACK . This caused
winxp to go into a loop and lock me out, (safe mode did
not function).. I deleted(format) the second drive "D"
and used WIN98 startup disk, going the DOS route in order
to get the CDROM"S working. then upgraded to WINME and
then installed WINXP. the problem is i now have three (3)
copied og XP on my drive "C" , WINDOWS, WINDOWS.000 AND
WINDOWS.ORI. tHESE I GOT TRYING TO BRING xp BACK ON
LINE... now HOW DO I FIND THE TRUE VERSION OF xp AND HOW
DO I DELETE THE OTHER VERSIONS???? and not loose
all ..Thank you

go start/run - msconfig/
go boot.ini tab/
go - click on - check all boot paths/
you will then be prompted for deleting any duplicates -
and reply 'yes' to remove them/
note
the orig win xp useable 'copy' is in 1st partition
and take it fr there
