Installing XP

I have had to install a new hard drive and this of course has no partition
and no trace of windows xp. The last hd, with the Windows partition, failed
irretrievably. I have only the Tiny (now bankrupt PC company) restore CD’s
(T-Rex) and not a full version of XP. I have XP licence No. on the side of
the PC. When I use T-Rex it says that there is no hidden partition (ie for
the cab XP files I guess) and will go no further. Clearly I am entitled to
my copy of XP as I bought the original PC from Tiny a couple of years ago.
What do I do?

Unfortunately you are entitled to nothing excepting from Tiny, and as they
are no more your only recourse is to purchase a copy of winxp with a
licence.
If you know what version of winxp you had, if you can borrow a generic same
edition OEM winxp you *may* be able to use your key to install

The restore cds from the mfg work just like a retail cd from microsoft.Simply
install the new hd,install cd,you should get a reinstall menu, select format
& install...The software will create a partition,format,etc auto...
