Done that and not thing changed. Wound up uninstalling and
reinstalling the app from a copy downloaded from MS. I
sure wish that I coul access these newsgroups via NNTP
client rather htan the web interface bu have about given
up on that. I enter what is suppose to be the userid and
password only to be told by Gravity and Agent, two
newsreaders that the login was refused.
I use NNTP, of course--via OE. The credentials as published should
work--I'll reprint them below so you can try cutting and pasting them:
a.. Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
a.. Account name: privatenews\spyware
a.. Password: spyware
a.. Note that the password is case-sensitive

Yes thanks. Don't know why it wasn't working before.
Perhaps the password was not correct. Thanks
Now to try to figure out why I no longer have access to
the DirectAccess NG server.
