Can I upgrade from windows 2000 to xp home edition without loosing any thing on my comp.

In theory, yes.

In practice, you'd better back up all your personal files and network
connectivity information. This includes any DBX files in your Outlook
Express or any Outlook stores, and your Windows Address Book, and
everything else you treasure.

In theory, no. Only Windows XP Professional can upgrade over
Windows 2000. You would have to reformat your drive if you
wanted to install Windows XP Home Edition.

No, you can't do it at all. You can upgrade to XP Professional,
but *not* XP Home.

Greetings --

No. I'm afraid not.

It's not possible to perform an in-place upgrade of Win2K to WinXP
Home. (WinXP Pro would have worked, thought.)

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
