I am in need of a solution to my problem. A Product Key or a way to
fix my nonbootable XP install.
I had a motherboard and CPU go bad in a machine. After replacing the
hardware the Windows XP installation would not boot. It would start
to boot XP and emediately bluescreen and reboot faster than you can
reed the bluescreen. It does this even in Safe Mode.
I was going to reinstall XP, but a friend of mine broke my XP CD and
threw it away. I borrowed a copy from a friend, but he doesn't have
his Product Key either. So I have a broken XP install, a XP CD that
wasn't used on the previous install, and no Product Keys. I can still
get to information on the drive if I boot with a Windows 98 boot disk
or booting with my Linux OS.
