2 sets of Favorites in Explorer

Hi,
I run Explorer 6.0 on Windows 98. For some reason, I have
2 sets of Favorites, and each one of them "appears" at
random. I never know what set will come up when I start
IE. It's driving me crazy! I found the set that I want
to use (it's not the set that IE is coming up with right
now) but when I try to import it, it can't find the file
because I didn't export it as a file first... and I can't
do that because IE won't bring up those Favorites! How
can I ensure that IE only brings up those Favorites when I
start it up? Help! Thanks.

You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

That may not cure your problem completely.
I had a similar problem a couple of years ago in Win98 where the
favorites kept changing between Windows\Favorites and Windows\Local
Settings\Favorites and had to alter every occurrence of the wrong
favorites entry in the Regsitry to the right one. No problems since.
