When I go to Documents and settings on my hard drive and click on my username
directory I used to be able to see my Favorites directory. Now I do not see
it. I have made a search of my hard drive for it and the search comes up
empty. I have searched for specific sub-directories in my Favorites directory
and again my computer does not find them.
HOWEVER, when I click on my Favorites link in Internet Explorer it shows me
the entire list of my favorites just as it should be.
Why can't I find my Favorites file? Where is it?
By the way - I have done advanced searches to look in hidden files and
program files. In Windows Explorer I have also told it to show me all hidden
files.
It has to be somewhere or else my Internet Explorer could not show it to me
when I clicked on the Favorites icon at the top of the IE page. But where is
it and why can't Windows find it when I search for it or for one of its
subdirectories?
Thank you,
portocar

If you have TweakUI for XP installed start it and go to My Computer >
Special Folders and then scroll down, in the box, to Favorites and you'll
see where it is.

In Internet Explorer, right-click one of the URLs in the Favorites, and
choose Properties. Click the General tab, and make a note of the location.

Jerry:
Thank you for your help.
Could you please tell me where to get TweakUI for XP and also what it does
in general. Where can I get instructions on how to use TweakUI?
Thank you,
