2 PC Network question

Lori

I have 2 PC's connected thru wired Ethernet and plugged into old Linkseys
hub. I connect to the Internet with 56k dial up modem and use ICS to share
the connection between the 2 PC's.

Does Media Player, Nero 6 or ICS require the Net Framework update or IIS? I
had these installed once before but I just did a reformat and reinstall and
don't want to load that stuff if it is not going to be used.

Also, when I had above installed, XP Professional installed a virtual
printer directory. It does not install the same way if I do not load IIS
and Framework.

I also am running Office XP Professional on Windows XP Professional wihich
is my host PC. The other PC is running Windows XP Home.

Any information would be appreciated. Broadband at this point is not an
option where I live so I have to stick with the 56k modem for now.

Last question is I did not reset my home page but I am still using the
default. It starts with something like" isapi and seems to be redirected to
msn home. Should I just change the page to msn home or does my PC need all
the other stuff in the default home page path?

Nothing in Windows XP requires IIS, which can't even be installed in
XP Home Edition. Media Player and ICS don't require .NET Framework.
I'm not familiar with Nero 6, but I doubt that it requires .NET
Framework.

You may set your home page to anything you want.
