2 for the price of one

I have just inherited an old computer form a friend and at the same time I am
building my own and I REALLY dont want to pay for XP pro twice. Is there a
way i can pay once and install it on two computers without having troubles
with the futer-comming product registration for windows update?

I need this product as my children will have access to one of the computers
(not the one I'm building!) so there needs to be plenty of security.

The licensing for Windows XP is very simple
You pay for a license for each machine you install it to.
So if you want to have 2 PCs both running Windows XP then you need to buy a
second license for the other machine.
This is unchanged from all previous versions of Windows.
It is also covered in the End User License Agreement (EULA) that you agree
to be bound by when you install the product.
You can view the EULA anytime by Start ... Run ... winver and clinking on
the link
