16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem ERROR!

When you have this problem it means that a lot of
software will not install.
The Microsoft site tells me that one or more of the
following files are missing or damaged:

Config.nt
Autoexec.nt
Command.com

Because Windows XP was installed at the factory I have a
recovery disk only. Can anyone send me a copy of these
files or tell me where I can download them from. I can't
find them at Microsoft.

Any help or assistance would be much appreciated.
