Thankyou very much for the links you provided, but it still dose not work.
I am sorry that I had not describe fully what happen.
I had copied ( because it is non intallable ) an old Dos base programme,(
known as Elapt, which is provided
with hardware lock ( dongle ) ), from my old computer to my new one,loaded
with OS windows XP pro..
When I tried to open it, it got the message :
16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
D:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountred an illegal instruction.
CS:0c9d IP:31d6 OP:ff 7e 08 ff 76 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

This is a lot more solutions. A quick fix seems unlikely if the first link
didn't fix it.
