128 bit

I loaded Internet explorer 6.0 ~ I need to load 128 bit
encryption.
I do not know what to load. I have Windows XP.
I tried a few different things and they seem to load but
when I look at the "help" tab and "about Internet Explorer"
it says 0 bit.

I am trying to repair IE. When I scan for updates I get
error #0x800A138F
All of a sudden I can't pull up my bank statement. If that
helps with anything.
