1080i Edit?

I recently purchased a Sony HC-1 video camera that supports recording in
1080i. I noticed that Movie Maker does not support 1080i in any of it's
native formats. Therefore I have a couple of questions.

Is there an add-on that will not require me to convert the content to a
lower resolution?

Is there plans to add HDV features to Movie Maker in the future? If so,
what is the timeframe?

I downloaded a trial of Adobe Premiere Pro and aside from the hefty price it
is much harder to use. If MM doesn't work and isn't planning on anything in
the near future is there a comp. program that someone can suggest?

If you can capture the content somehow... Movie Maker can edit it. You will
need a custom profile from Papajohn site to save it in full HD resolution.

Hello,

Nero has as one of its many formats HDTV. In addition, you do not need to
specify dimensions when editing or capturing with Nero, It automatically
outputs at the same size as the input. Obviously there are exceptions to
that. you can download a trial version from www.nero.com As far as I know
the only limitation is you are not allowed to burn a DVD The sub-program
you should download is Nero Vision Express (current version 3)
