1 e-mail unread

when i turn my computer on then i pick my name go in do
what i have to do (eg) e-mail banking etc etc.

then i turn every thing off and shut down but the next
time i log in it has on the screen under my name 1 unread
e-mail so i go online check but nothing is there.

but when i see 1 unread e-mail i right click it tells me
to go to start up to e-mail so i do that log in no mail
log off shut down comp restart comp and guess what ITS
STILL THERE............

so how do we fix this or how can i turn that msg off the
account screen pls

Hi,
you could download a handy little utility called TweakUI, part of
Microsoft PowerToys.Once you've installed the program, open TweakUI and
select the "Logon" item from the task list.

If all you want is to eliminate the unread e-mail notice from the
Welcome screen, click Unread Mail and remove the check mark from the
appropriate box. If there are multiple users for your computer, you can
apply the change to any or all of them.

Download and double-click to apply the patch.
