All of a sudden about a week ago, all my SENT mail sits in my Outbox. Then a
while later it pops up and asks if i want to send my 'unsent messages'. I
never had this problem before, and can't find anywhere to fix it. It's
horrible, because i have imprtant urgent e-mail I think is sent, and it's
sitting there in the Outbox!!!!! Any ideas?

So what happens when you respond positively to the request to send
unsent messages?

Make sure the following setting is enabled: Tools, Options, Send,
Send messages immediately.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Test', Account: 'Windows
Mail', Server: 'smtp.windstream.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Can anyone help?

The URL in Steve's response didn't work for me, so try this one:
http://www2.windstream.net/alltel/p...L=/customersupport/email/expresspc/index.html

However, I don't think your issue is related to any settings in your
Windows Mail.

When you got that error message, were you actually getting your Internet
connection from Windstream, or were you on a laptop away from home?

If sending from home, which antivirus are you running? Some of them
cause problems with Windows Mail over time.

Make sure you have Vista's SP1 and SP2 updates installed.
If no improvement, try dragging that message to the Deleted Items folder.
If that doesn't work, drag it to the Recycle Bin.

What happens when you hit Sync (Send / Receive)? Post your error message
and perhaps we can tell what's going on.
