Hi All,

Just developed an annoying prob:

after closing down e-mail window, I now have another window pop-up with

"you have unsent messages in yr outbox, do you wish to send them?"

Upon checking: my outbox is empty. Happens every time now.

Help!

Download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail closed:

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

This is Lee not Steve...log in not pulling up the correct profile. Anyway
this hotfix does not work on my Acer laptop running Vista 32bit OS. MS site
has two downloads, one for 32 bit and another fosr 64 bit OS. Supprisingly
both have the same number and not supprisingly neither one will work. A
message indicates " not for my OS" or similar verbage. This message appears
with both downloads.

Thanks Steve, however I forgot to mention that SP1 has been installed for
some time. Any other suggestions? Thanks again, Lee

The hotfix was pre-SP1. Try compacting and repairing the database with
WMUtil and then go to the outbox and View | Current View | Show all messages
and then delete anything in there.

See point 3 here also: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Thanks Steve, that found and cleared it. Not sure what the WMUtil is but
the rest worked. Thanks, again, Lee
