Un-sent msg pop-up

Everytime I close windows mail a pop up says "you have unsent messages in
your outbox, would you like to send them now".

Does anyone know how to get rid of this pop up? All other aspects of
windows mail seems to be working ok.

Thanks for anyone's help.

PS - there are literally hundreds of inquiries with the same prob . . . what
gives?
PPS - the unsent message contains an "error" message

Have you tried removing those unsent messages from the Outbox?
Open the Outbox folder. Move as many of the Outbox messages
as you can to he Drafts folder. If any won't move or can't be deleted,
apply this Microsoft fix:
