Why am I receiving blank messages from unknown senders?

For about a week now I've been receiving 2 or 3 messages a day that are
totally blank except for the date and time received. There's no sender, no
To, no subject. I've opened the e-mail, there are no attachments and no text
in the body. I've clicked on Properties and it doesn't tell me anything.
I'm worried and was wondering if anyone has had this problem?

You shouldn't be worried. If the message has no content and you don't
recognize the sender address, just dump it.
