Why am I receiving blank emails in my Outlook XP Inbox?

When I open Outlook, I've been receiving a blank message--no title, sender,
message, or recipient.

You're not alone. It appears to be the result of a malware-infected
computer trying to send you a virus, but failing in that because the
original virus writer was too stupid to get it right.

Thanks, Brian. I use virus protection software, but is there an Outlook
workaround to keep this from happening?

You can certainly create a rule that will throw away all messages with
completely empty subjects.

Wait. I have the same issue, but when I go to my online "hotmail" account
there are no blank messages... may be something corrupted in your outlook...
just a thought.. example. I have 10 blank e-mails in my outlook inbox. I go
online to hotmail (same account) and they are NOT there.

If your antivirus or security software scans incoming email, the email
integration feature should be uninstalled (preferred) or disabled.
Installing the OLC Beta should fix the blank messages problem (and other
issues) on both Outlook 2007 and 2003.

OLC 14 Beta 32-bit:
