What is WIN2K Pro 2195 doing?

Or more accurately, what was it doing when it hung up?

My computer hangs up on occasion; I am probably running too many programs at
once over a slow internet connection. I try to start Task Manager
(ALT/CTL/DEL/Task Manager) to see what's going on and it doesn't come up. So
I pull the plug (power-off), and re-boot.

Is there anyway for me to find out what WIN 2K was doing when I pulled the
plug on it? I suspect the sucker is waiting on an I/O event.

Thanks.

PS: I have eliminated the possibility of a virus. (At least as much as one
can do that.)

OK MAYBE I DIDN'T MAKE MYSELF CLEAR.

I want more information that the three-fingered salute task monitor gives
me. Especially 'post-mortem'; after I have had to re-boot the system.

Thank you

NO YOU DID NO MAKE YOURSELF CLEAR
up.

You said you were using alt/ctl/del to get to task manage and it does not
come up.

USE CTRL/ALT/DEL TO GET TO TASK MANAGER! ALT/CTL/DEL DOES NOT BRING UP TASK
MANAGER!
