USBScan.sys Driver

I purchased a Toshiba notebook and have it connected to a
HP psc 2210 all-in-one printer. On installation of the
printer, the usbscan.sys driver or file was needed. Since
Toshiba embeds Windows XP Home edition software into
their Recovery application CD, I do not have a Windows XP
CD; therefore, I can't get to the needed driver. Because
of this, I get error messages regarding the missing file
and the fax features did not load properly.

I called Toshiba and, except for reloading the recovery
files, I tried their suggestions to no avail. I searched
on the internet for the file, but have not found it. Does
anyone know how I can get a copy of the usbscan.sys
driver/file. The printer worked fine with Windows 98.

Thanks for any help.

You should find a copy of the file in:

C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\Files\i386
C:\Windows\System32\dllcache
C:\Windows\System32\drivers
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\driver.cab
C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\SP1.cab
and
C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\sp1.cab

Alternatively you could have just done a file search like I did on your own
PC!
