Unwanted webpages

Guest

I run Win XP Home and IE6
I have MS Windows defender, Zone Alarm firewall and Grisoft AVG Aantivirus.

I inadvertently downloaded and opened an **.exe file which was a package
called "virusbuster".
I removed the program OK but I have a residual flashing icon in the sys tray.
Also when I go online, my default homepage is replaced with the virusbuster
website, even if I click "home"
Also the browser page has sprouted an unwanted toolbar called "Protection
toolbar" which I cannot remove either.

Any ideas as to how to get out of this mess would be appreciated.
