Unable to read email from AOL

WinXP Pro. installed on both a desktop and notebook.
Recently have been unable to read AOL email on the
notebook. Can see mail in mailbox, that's all. Using
IE6 browser. Desktop reads email fine. Using AOL
browser, can read email ok on notebook. Both computers
using same cable modem. Suspect IE6 on notebook has
problem, don't know what to do. Can anyone help.
