I am using Windows XP Professional with SP1 and IE 6 with SP1. The way
I connect to the internet is to click an entry in my favorites and let
IE 6 auto dial my ISP. Sometimes after I connect (like maybe 1 in 5
attempts), instead of displaying the web page I will get the familiar
"The page cannot be displayed" error. Usually pressing Refresh will
get the site loaded, but sometimes I can't access any web site and
have to disconnect and reconnect to solve the problem.
I thought maybe the issue was with my ISP, but then I used my other
computer which has Windows 98 SE with IE6 SP1, and this doesn't have
the problem.
Has anyone come across this problem before and is there a solution?
Thanks,
Kris
